Porterville detectives are investigating a Sunday-afternoon stabbing that left one man briefly hospitalized.
Police found the victim, whose name is being withheld, outside of a house in the 1300 block of Otis Avenue, suffering from three small stab wounds.
The victim reportedly told police a man he did not know came to his house and told him he owed him money. When he refused the give the suspect any money, the suspect allegedly stabbed him and fled in an unknown type of vehicle, the victim reportedly said.
The victim was transported to Sierra View District Hospital for treatment for the superficial injuries and was later released.
