Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men suspected of carjacking a Porterville boy at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon.

The crime occurred at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Westwood Road, just outside of the city limits.

The 16-year-old victim, who reported the crime early Thursday morning, told deputies he gave two people a ride around 10:30 p.m., when they pulled a gun out on him.

The boy said they took his 2002 Acura along with his cellular phone and wallet. Deputies said the boy was not injured.
