      07-13-07 : Fugitive sought in shooting {in Goshen}

By The Porterville Recorder
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Visalia man suspected of killing another man earlier this month.

William D. Bratton, 37, fatally injured Patrick Perry during the early morning hours of July 5 in the 31000 block of Road 68 in Goshen, Tulare County Sheriff’s Department officials said. Deputies found Perry at the location suffering from one gunshot wound to the upper torso. Perry was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He died a day later.

Detectives identified Bratton as the suspect and warn that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

“If you see him, you should contact the Sheriff’s Department or local law enforcement,” Sgt. Chris Douglass said. “We are asking the public not to try to detain him because we do consider him an armed suspect.”

Officials urge anyone with information about Bratton’s whereabouts or the incident to call Sgt. Eric Velasquez or Detective Lupe Shade at 733-6218 or 733-6523.
