07-19-07 : Deputies nab suspects in two recent {Ivanhoe} murders

By The Porterville Recorder
Tulare County Sheriff’s investigators announced arrests in two homicide cases. Investigators arrested John Brian Sandoval and Mathew Refugio Sandoval for the June 2 shooting death of Miguel Angel Morales Toscano, 18, of Ivanhoe.

Toscano, 18, was found in a car in the area of Road 180 and Avenue 296 in the Exeter area, suffering from two gunshot wounds.

Detectives issued search warrants for the Woodlake brothers this week after they concluded a six-week inquest into the shooting death. They arrested the elder Sandoval Tuesday, and the younger Sandoval Wednesday on the second of two arrest warrants.

The second homicide case deputies caught a break in was that of Patrick Perry, of Goshen, who was shot in the chest July 5 and died a day later from his injuries.

The suspect in that case William Bratton, 38, of Visalia, was arrested Wednesday by police officers in Sikeston, MO — nearly 1,800 miles away from where detectives found Perry.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents are asked to contact Sgt. Eric Velasquez at 733-6218.
