PORTERVILLE — Minor injuries were suffered when a man was robbed by a local movie theater at about 7 p.m. Sunday.
The victim, whose identity was not revealed, told police he had been near the Galaxy 9 Theatres when he was approached by three Hispanic men, believed to be between the ages of 18 and 25, Porterville Police Department Sgt. Duanne Griffin said.
The victim told police the alleged robbers punched him several times and took an unknown amount of money from him.
The suspects then reportedly fled the scene in a silver-colored vehicle eastbound on Henderson Avenue, Griffin said.
Griffin said the victim refused medical treatment for the minor injuries suffered in the beating.
No suspects had been identified as of Monday, Griffin said.
