Porterville police responded Thursday night to an apparent stabbing at the Salvation Army on Olive Avenue, according to a police radio conversation.

A blood trail was reportedly discovered in the parking lot. Police asked that a Fire Department crew be sent to the scene to wash down some remaining blood.

The victim was taken to Sierra View District Hospital for treatment, according to conversations on the police band scanner.

The Porterville Police Department would not comment on the incident Thursday night.
