An 18-year-old Ducor resident was fatally shot Tuesday night in Terra Bella.

Deputies from the Porterville Substation responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Camphor Avenue and Road 237, according to a news release from the Tulare County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were already on scene when they reportedly heard several shots fired. Shortly after 10 p.m. authorities located Lorenzo Leon, 18, lying in the roadway.

Leon died from a single gunshot wound, the release stated.
