A suspected gang fight Monday night at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Porterville has landed three men in jail on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy, and being members of a criminal street gang, a Porterville Police report said.
One man was treated at Sierra View District Hospital for a single gunshot wound to the arm.
An altercation involving several Norteņo and Sureņo gang members occurred in the parking lot of the business.
Adrian Romero, 19, an employee at the restaurant, had an argument with the victim and other suspects in the restaurant, police said, and called some friends to assist.
Two were identified as Benito Bermudez, 20, and Angelita Ortega, 18, who police said are Norteņo gang members along with Romero.
Several other suspects were also identified by police as assisting Romero and are being sought in connection with the shooting.
Romero, Bermudez and Ortega were booked at the Tulare County Main Jail.
Anyone with information should call Porterville Detective Morales or Sergeant Castellow at 782-7400.
