This morning, while up-dating many of these pages, my spirit was grieved by the fact that many Christians in America are simply too selfish to reach out and help.

If they come across a web sites like ours and say to themselves ... "it's about time somebody was doing something about those gangsters." When they really mean - " it's about time somebody did something, so I don't have to spend my time helping." And that's the truth. Believe me folks, when I go out and teach a class or share at a Church meeting, this is the attitute I sense. And if I can sense this ... I know that the street gangs sense this as well, when they come to these local Churches. Very few Christians get out of their "personally assigned seats" and give it up for someone new that day. It rarely happens ... and I see it from the platforms as often as your Pastors see it. So here's my new piece of legislation that I'm working on called "Get Ready or Get Out".

GET READY OR GET OUT - As I am writing this down I'm more than half way in preparing a new piece of legislation called GET READY or GET OUT. What this new drafted piece of legislation will do is two things. One - it will establish a Gang Intervention Specialist position for every Church that has a 501(c)3 [ None Profit Status] to be on the ministerial staff. They will be trained as a specialist and will be responsisble for that Church and the Churches assigned area and they will be resposible for those gang members who want out and who show up at that Church. Two - Each Church must have one of these GI's or they will risk loosing their 501(c)3 Tax Exempt status - period. Why should the penality be so great you ask ? Because the Churches are more interested in sheltering their pew sitters than saving the steet walkers or gang members. Pastors know this is going on and many are leaving the ministry ... out of frustration. Pastors know they can't do it all, and yet their congregations thinks they can ... and so it goes. Gangs want out and Christians want out ... out of helping that is. And that leads me back to my earlier conclusion ... many of today's Christians are just plan selfish. Sharing the Gospel is an embarrassment to them so they take the road most oftened traveled ... "broad is that way".

GANG MEMBERS WANT OUT - They know that what they are doing is wrong and sinful, but most don't know where to go for real help. They know that JESUS Died for their sins, like all of us, but they need a hand - not a Radio hand or a T.V. hand, but a real hand. The world's concept of INTERVENTION will be to give the little gangsters and pee-wee's a place to play but don't know how to really reach that little kid with a life saving message. I'm telling you folks right now. The longer you keep to yourselves, the quicker your Church will dry up and die. Just look at England. Their selling their Churches off to be transformed into restuarants, nightclubs and bars. Look ... for years we have been lead to believe that if we go to Church and give a litttle more, the Pastor will get on the Radio or T.V. and preach the Gospel. And we give because we hope that the message will get into their hearts and be saved. But what we are really saying is this. I'll put in a little more money, so I don't have to share the Gospel ... because I'm selfish and still sinful.

GET READY OR GET OUT : Part II - Now one the duties of this G.I.s will be to also work with the local community and other G.I. leaders. They will have monthly meetings in that area or section and file a report to the Churches in that area and authorities. They must take the time with the local youth leaders in the Churches in that area and challenge the youth. If a local Church gets overloaded with gangs in their area, the surrounding Churches will rally to their aid. Folks ... what we have to do is very simple. It's not rocket science !

GET READY OR GET OUT : Part III - Each G.I. in each Church will be able to receive additional funds for going over their gang/church quota. At the start of the second year, G.I's will receive the same amount as a bonus and additional funds for their Church again. Believe me, this will be money well spent and the locals in the Churches will see first-hand the results of their labor. And the gangs will then know, who is doing the best job. This will work folks !

GET READY OR GET OUT : Part IV - And finally, we will have Christian G.I.'s at-large. What's that ? Glad you asked. At-large simply means that mant Cities will have G.I.'s at-large within their areas. If some Churches have extra G.I.'s and they are willing to expand their role in the community, then they can be classified as a G.I. At-Larger. As well, many other organizations, like Gang Watchers, will also qualify for an At-Large G.I. position. All in all, we can do the job, if we just do it. On the other hand ... we've known about these problems for years and until we are told to do something about it ... we just won't. And that's what I'm talikng about.
