This morning, while up-dating many of these pages, my spirit was grieved by the fact that many Christians in America are simply too selfish to reach out and help. If they come across a web sites like ours and say to themselves ... "it's about time somebody was doing something about those gangsters." When they really mean - " it's about time somebody did something, so I don't have to spend my time helping." And that's the truth. Believe me folks, when I go out and teach a class or share at a Church meeting, this is the attitute I sense. And if I can sense this ... I know that the street gangs sense this as well, when they come to these local Churches. Very few Christians get out of their "personally assigned seats" and give it up for someone new that day. It rarely happens ... and I see it from the platforms as often as your Pastors see it.

It's all about the Money -- and both these Pranksers know this to be a fact. From the early James Cagney flicks, through the God Fathers, Scare Face, Carlito, Blood In and Blood out, Hollywood found a way to produce movies that would return a profit. Using back-door tools called "Creative License" and "Public Demands", these AMERICAN FILMSTER's convinced AMERICAN PRODUCER's that their product was worth the support, especially when the FILM-MAKER's found a cast that was award-winning actors.

On this day Brother Lucky traveled with Porterville's immediate past Mayor - Mr. Kelly West - to Sacramento to meet with our Representative at the Capitol, Senator Roy Ashburn. The last time we had a chance to speak with the Senator, it was at the Mayors Prayer Breakfast. Before he spoke to the crowd we met with him in the auditorium and shared with him about Gang Watchers Mission and our drafted legislative proposal that Senator Chuck Poochigian submitted to the subcommittee.

One day in July, Gang Watchers team traveled to Castroville to speak with a congregation of new Believers. We were excited, I believe, as much as this new Church. Once we arrived we set up our display tables and talked with the folks who got there early. One of them was Pastor Sally and a guest worship leader. And true to form, the message that the LORD had put on my heart, while mowing the lawn the day before, was pretty much the same that the other speakers had as well – a message of evangelism ! However, the exact words that the HOLY SPIRIT gave to me that late after noon was “Sunday in the Streets” - meaning, I want you to tell my people the following …

Since September of 2005, Gang Watchers has personally been involved with many anti-gang related programs and ministries – not just here in Tulare County but all over the United States. As well, we have studied somewhere between 25 and 30 different so-called solutions and interventions to the problem of gangs and gang violence in our communities and have concluded the following for the Christian community at large.

This Sunday morning as I was justifing why I should to go to Church, I felt a stonger pull to speak to the body of Christ instead. I hope that what I have to say is more than pure entertainment. And, if it causes you to think ... well that's ok - just so long as you put a little action to your reaction.

In three months {Sept 21st} Gang Watchers will celebrate it's second anniversary. In retrospect we have come a long way and it feels like it's only the beginning. We are convinced that GOD started this ministry and what GOD has started ... no man can stop or change.
