† FEBRUARY - This month Gang Watchers will be delivering 5000 bumper stickers to area Churches and you will see these bumpers stickers ... all over town. What does this mean ? And how do I participate ?
† OPERATION : PEACE TOWN is the first wave of Christians showing their unity by placing these bumper stickers on the back of their vehicles. It says to the public at large - and gangs, we are concerned about the gang violence, shootings and distructive behavior in and around the Porterville area. These bumper stickers say - first and foremost - we will pray for the PEACE of PORTERVILLE. Second, these bumper stickers say, we will pray for you if you are involved with gangs and want out. Third, these bumper stickers say, if you want to KNOW PEACE - you need to KNOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE "JESUS CHRIST". And finally, these bumper stickers say, Porterville belongs to the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS. It will be GOD who brings about a long and lasting truce, and Christians from all cultures believe this and are praying for this ... a Place called PEACE TOWN.
† JOIN TODAY. How ? Attend a local Church in the Porterville and ask the local Pastor for a Free "OPERATION : PEACE TOWN" bumper sticker. Add your name to that Churches list of participants who promise to Pray for the PEACE of PORTERVILLE. It's that simple. If you believe we can have PEACE, believe that it also starts with you.
† GANG AWARENESS TRAINING - While you are there at one of Porterville's local Churches, ask the Pastor when Gang Watchers will be coming over for Gang Awareness Training. Training will be taking place all over town and at specific places and at different times. Your Pastor will know.
