† 07-29-07 : Sunday - Gang Watchers "Krew" traveled from Porterville to Castroville to help Pastro Sally "Pioneer" a new project for her Church. For some time now, she's had it on her heart to dedicate one Sunday a month to the youth and Gang Watchers shared from the stage that the LORD also wanted them to take one of those Sundays and have a "Sunday in the Streets" project - going into the highways and biways and compel them to come in.

Additional guest speakers, besides Pastor Sally, Gang Watchers, included Brother Richard from Crown of Life Comics and Pastor Eric Domen from Modesto, who challenged the youth that day as well. Pastor Sally had brother Greg Lucero, also from from Crown of Life Comics, bring his worship team come and minister to the audiance.
One of the featured attractions at this meeting was Christian Rap Atrist, Brother SAN JOE from {Carry the Cross Music}. Brother SAN JOE also had a word for the youth and a tremendous testimony, how he use to be in gangs, left for dead many times at many locations but yet GOD intervened and saved his life until he surrnedered his life to CHRIST.
WORD TO THE YOUTH : When someone says they care for you and are praying for you, take it to heart. These are not words in vain, they are words from the "Been there and done that society". Brother LUCKY. See you in the streets ...
† 07-22-07 : Sunday - Gang Watchers has spent a lot of time praying about the body of believers and why some get it and some don't. So ... we put together a new OPINION PAGE that will express our observations and opinions. Our hope is that many other Christians will join Gang Watchers in the streets to share their Faith with those who are lost. We know that continuing to do nothing and say nothing is another price we all will have to pay - if not here, then after we pass on. Keep in mind when you read my opinions - they're my opinions. And you need to check in with GOD about my opinions, or else it's my opinions vs your opinions and those fish don't fry up too good.
† 07-12-07 : Thursday - Gang Watchers attended a Gang Prevention meeting this evening in Visalia and had a chance to share a little of what we do and what we are about. We received this invitation - to attend - from Tulare County Board of Supervisor Allen Ishida on Tuesday evening, at another meeting with the Porterville Area Republican Assembly. Most of the folks in attendance listened to the presentation and were asked by Supervisor Phil Cox for comments and questions. This meeting was the first of many to come and will be meeting on a monthly basis over in Visalia. Supervisor Phil Cox had several people from different departments give brief presentations.
Gang Watcher had a small display table and gave away one of our best witnessing tools ever - The Christian Comic book "Soldiers of Darkness" from Crown of Life Comics. One of those who the committee thanked was the Visalia Times-Delta ... for their continued efforts in educating the public about gangs. When the committee meeting was over several "Faith-Based" members came by to swap information and business cards. Gang Watchers, as well, was approached by Porterville's Chief of Police "Chuck McMillan" and discussed getting our local gang prevention meetings back on track. All in all, this was a great start and appeared to be a concerned effort by Tulare Counties politicians, police and the public to try another way. Brother LUCKY - See you in the streets ...
† 07-08-07 : Sunday - Todays mesage {at Church} hit home with what Gang Watchers has been trying to do for the last year and a half - and that's preparing the body of Christ. So many times we believers depend upon the government to much do those things that we as Christians are suppose to do. As a result ... no one really gets help and no one really gets to give GOD the Glory. This afternoon this article - which was sent to me from Chicago - basically is saying the same thing. We cannot continue looking the other way, thinking it's all going to go away. All of us must pull together "now" before it's too late, and before we loose another generation - to another lie. Sorry, but that is the truth !

† In July, Gang Watchers will have less than 500 of the 5000 bumper stickers that we gave to the area Churches. We've heard from only two Churches last month and we need to finish the job. | OPERATION : PEACE TOWN : UPDATE

† 07-07-07 : Saturday - Gang Watchers went out this afternoon and passed out information about OPERATION : PEACE TOWN to the local merchants and business owners. Much to our surprize, many had already heard about OPERATION : PEACE TOWN, making it very easy to share.
Here's what we told the locals ... "Hi, we're from Gang Watchers and we wanted to let you know that the local Churches have been praying for the peace of Porterville. We've been praying for the last 7-8 months and believe that GOD wants everyone to know that HE wants peace for the residents of Porterville just as much as we do - The Peace that passes all understanding. GOD also wants peace for the gang members and not just a phony-balone gang truce, but a real truce, with real peace and real love."
We also told our local business folks that we need them to support our efforts by placing one of our OPERATION : PEACE TOWN bumper stickers in their shop window or on their car bumper. In doing this we show our unity, solidarity and belief that everyone in Porterville deserves to live in peace. So far ... and by the Grace of GOD, no one in Porterville has been killed this year because of gangs. We will continue to pray that the violence will stop as well.
So ... Gang Watchers wants to say thanks to all who came on board today, especially all those businesses on Main St. - we really appreciate your support and prayers. And don't forget ... if you want more bumper-stickers, give us a call and we'll bring them right over.

BTW - If you can't get to one of the training classes {at your Church} you can still order one of our best tools to evangelize called ... Soldiers of Darkness from Crown of Life Ministry. Gang Watchers gave at least 20 of these comics to local gang members. They speak for them selves and that's why Gang Watchers endorses this tool as one of the best you can use.
And lest I forget, I personally want to encourage all those gang members we talked and prayer with today. It was GOD who arranged our time together, so arrange some time for GOD tomorrow - keep your promise and go to Church. It's the right thing to do.

June,
May and in
October 2006. Junes pictures were identified and the individuals received the awards. So ... in June of 2007, we ended up with (2) winners and (2) $50.00 awards were mailed. This picture display below, Gang Watchers believes, will better serve the community at large regarding gang awareness. This is the fourth time we have done this and will continue educating the public, the parents and the press.
